● One way of propagating plants is by method of air layering by simply cutting and peeling off about 30 to 50mm of the bark.
● The peeled off portion is then surrounded by moist soil medium which is tightly held in position to allow rooting process.
● This rooting ball which is reusable, enables the soil or growing medium to be held tightly and efficiently.
● Roots will start growing and after several months the branch is cut and removed from the mother plant for planting elsewhere.
● There are 3 sizes available for use in branches of different diameters as below:
1. Size S: 70mm x 55mm (50mm diameter) for branches 5mm to 10mm diameter
2. Size M: 100mm x 80mm (80mm diameter) for branches 8mm to 15mm diameter
3. Size L: 135mm x 120mm (120mm diameter) for branches 12mm to 35mm diameter.
